Wild Strawberry French Toast Bake

Serves: 4


Punnet of fresh strawberries (optional-can sub frozen or tinned)

4-6 slices thick bread, fruit, brioche work well

1 cup Pure Delish Wild Strawberry Granola Crunch

2 free range eggs

½  cup full fat milk

½ cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Pinch salt


1) Preheat Oven to 160C. Slice the strawberries into quarters and cut the thick slices of  bread into large cubes. Place half of each into a baking dish. Sprinkle over half the granola.

2) Agg eggs, milk, sugar and cinnamon to a separate bowl and whisk well. Pour approximately half the egg mix over the baking dish then top with the remaining bread. Pour the remaining egg mixture over and sprinkle the rest of the strawberries and granola.

3) Bake for 20-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and crunchy.

4) Allow to sit for 10 minutes before serving with cinnamon butter, cream and fresh strawberries

If using frozen strawberries, allow to thaw then drain excess juices. If using tinned, reduce milk to ¼  cup. Will reheat well, place back in the oven to warm through.
